The DNA reports of the victims has been sent to Dhaka
The initial medical tests report of the woman who was gang-raped on a moving bus after some robbers took control of the vehicle in Tangail came negative on Sunday afternoon.
Gynaecologist Dr Rehena Parveen of Tangail General Hospital confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune, adding that the DNA samples have been sent to Dhaka.
She said that the victim’s vaginal swab test was conducted on Thursday and the reports came on Saturday. The examination did not find any evidence of rape.
However, the injury marks on the victim’s body suggests the possibility of rape, she added.

On the other hand, all the accused in the case have been identified and the process to arrest them is underway.
Three of the accused have given their confessional statements to the court on Saturday night.
They are Raja Mia, 32, Abdul Awal, 30, and Nur Nabi, 26.
Sources said, Raja Mia who earlier denied his involvement in rape confessed to raping the woman in court. The other two accused, however, denied their involvement in rape while admitting to their involvement in robbery.
On the night of August 2, Raja, along with his accomplices, boarded a Chittagong-bound bus of Eagle Paribahan masquerading as passengers and soon took control of the vehicle.
They snatched money, mobile phones and other valuables from passengers of the bus. They also raped a female passenger of the bus and dumped her in a roadside ditch.
At around 3am the next day, the group drove the bus into a sand pile opposite Roktipara Jamme Mosque in Madhupur and fled the area.
Hekmat Ali, a passenger of the bus, filed a case at Madhupur police station accusing 10 to 12 unknown persons over the incident.
